What's it about?
memoQ is a versatile CAT tool that offers numerous opportunities for process automation and optimisation, in addition to the pure provision of translation memories and term databases. This allows workflows to be adapted to internal company processes and their own standards to be maintained in quality checks. In addition, the software provides a large number of individually adaptable settings, for example for the optimal import of translation files.
These functions lead to time-savings and error-prone processes. Often, however, the entire range of functions is not known at all and the software is not used optimally as a result. But with a little initial effort, complex processes can be mapped efficiently in memoQ and thus even minimise the error rate.
In this workshop, we will first familiarise ourselves with the memoQ interface on the Translator and Project Manager-sides, and then play-through several exemplary translation processes and get to know the options of automation. Here, we will also discuss the user-specific settings such as import filters or QA settings.

to present company-internal processes as a workflow in memoQ and to automate steps in the process.
Target audience
The workshop is aimed at Project Managers in Translation companies and at employees of the LSP on the end-customer side.
In this workshop, we will work very practice-oriented. Therefore, a personal laptop with memoQ installed is necessary for participation. For the duration of the training, we provide you with a license with the necessary functions.
